Kathmandu Valley Sees Surge in Travelers Heading Home for Festivals

Kathmandu. With major festivals like Dashain and Tihar approaching, the flow of passengers returning home from the Kathmandu Valley has started to increase. It is estimated that at least more than eight lakh citizens will leave the valley during the festivals.

The movement of passengers has increased at Kathmandu's main bus parks and exit points from the valley as citizens residing in the valley have started returning to their permanent homes to celebrate the festivals, informed Nareshraj Subedi, Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
