KATHMANDU, August 31: The devastating flood that swept through the Bhotekoshi–Trishuli corridor last Wednesday was triggered by a massive ice-rock avalanche in the high Himalayas, not by conventional rainfall, according to a preliminary study by Nepali scientists.
