NBA reminds government of delay in appointing CJ

Kathmandu, 13 April (2023) - A delegation from the Nepal Bar Association (NBA) today called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' to draw the government's attention to the need of appointment of the Chief Justice promptly.

The delegation comprising NBA office-bearers, former office-bearers and presidents and officials of its Kathmandu Valley-based units urged the government to hold a meeting of the Constitutional Council immediately and appoint the Chief Justice. They reminded the government that the judiciary has been led by an acting CJ since 14 months.
