FWU, Swisscontact Sign Agreement to Launch Professional Development Programme for TVET Instructors

Kathmandu, 22 December 2025 : Far Western University (FWU) and Swisscontact have signed an agreement to launch the “Professional Development of TVET Instructors” programme, aiming to strengthen teaching quality and create academic progression pathways for technical and vocational education and training (TVET) educators in Nepal.

The agreement was signed in the presence of H.E. Dr. Danielle Meuwly, Ambassador of Switzerland to Nepal, under the Quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Youth (QualiTY) project. The agreement was exchanged between Prof. Dr. Hem Raj Pant, Vice Chancellor of FWU, and Mr. Sanjay Karki, Country Director of Swisscontact Nepal. Er. Anuj Bhattarai, PhD, Executive Director of the Training Institute for Technical Instruction (TITI), was also present at the event.
