Consumer Protection Department Cracks Down on Market Irregularities Amidst Elections

Kathmandu. Amidst ongoing election processes, the Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Protection has intensified its activities following an increase in complaints regarding black marketing of food and beverages and consumer fraud in the market.

During inspections, the department fined JS General Store, Kuleshwor, NPR 10,000 after irregularities were found. The firm was penalized in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2075.
