Lalbakiya River Floods HULAKI Highway in Rautahat, Disrupting Traffic

Rautahat. With the continuous rainfall, the water flow in the Lalbakiya River in the Rajpur Municipality area of Rautahat has increased, causing the HULAKI highway to be submerged. Local residents, travelers, and vehicle drivers are forced to commute by risking their lives as floodwaters flow over the road.

The movement has been affected as floodwaters overflowed from the west embankment of the Lalbakiya River and flowed over the road on the HULAKI road section from Fatwa Maheshpur of Rajpur Municipality-2 towards Rajpur. Due to the lack of an alternative route, locals are compelled to use this road in a risky condition.
