Five dozen journalists in Province 1 are Covid-19 infected, one succumbs

ITAHARI, May 19: As of May 18 evening, the number of Covid-19 infected journalists in the second wave of the pandemic has reached 60. According to Bibek Gautam, the General Secretary of Federation of Nepali Journalists Province 1 Committee, the highest infected tally is from four districts of Eastern Terai- Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari and Udayapur. Jhapa district tops the list. In Jhapa alone, 19 journalists are battling with the pandemic.

Similarly, in Morang, Sunsari and Udayapur, the tally is 15, 13 and 3 respectively.
