Man Arrested for Alleged Illegal Hawala Transactions Exceeding NPR 2.41 Billion Sent to Jail Pending Trial

Birgunj. A man arrested in Birgunj for allegedly conducting illegal hawala transactions exceeding NPR 2.41 billion has been sent to jail pending trial by the Parsa District Court.

Prashant Kumar Gupta, a resident of Birgunj Metropolitan City-1, was arrested on the 17th of Poush. Initially, he was apprehended with NPR 359,255. Subsequently, the police initiated an investigation into his various bank accounts.
