Energy Minister Visits Load Dispatch Center Amidst Flood Damage

Kathmandu. Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha visited the Load Dispatch Center in Syuchatar and took information about the status of the national electricity system. An accidental flood in Rasuwa has caused significant damage to important structures for electricity generation, transmission, and distribution. With the Trishuli 3B hub's 220 KV substation completely damaged and various transmission lines and electricity projects suffering damage, a significant amount of electricity generation has been taken out of the system.

Despite the disaster, the national electricity system is currently operating stably and safely, Biraj Bhakta stated. The system's peak load of approximately 2,930 MW is being managed in a balanced manner.
