China Claims 12-Day Flood Warning to Nepal

Kathmandu. While Nepal is suffering huge loss of life and property due to the severe floods and landslides that occurred on August 27 in Nepal, neighboring country China has made a sensational claim. China has claimed that it had warned about this natural disaster that occurred in Nepal 12 days before the incident.

Beijing has given such an explanation in its defense amidst criticism that it did not share necessary data and advance information during the time of floods and natural disasters. According to China, its 'World Meteorological Center' had alerted Nepal via email 12 days before the disaster about the potential risks. China claims that the email had advised to take precautions stating a high risk of heavy rainfall, soil erosion, and flash floods.
