China Closes Tatopani Border Crossing Indefinitely Due to Flood and Landslide Risks

Kathmandu. China has closed the Tatopani border crossing, a major trade route with Nepal, indefinitely citing increased risks of floods and landslides.

This closure comes at a time when a devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi River has already destroyed Timure Bazaar, the customs office, and the immigration office at the other main crossing, Rasuwagadhi.
