CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda Visits Rukum East to Mark 30th People's War Day

Rukum East. The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) is observing the 30th People's War Day in Rukum East. Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' arrived in Rukum East on Thursday evening to celebrate the People's War Day with the families of martyrs, the disappeared, the injured, the disabled, and the people of Rukum, where the People's War began.

The People's War, initiated by the then CPN (Maoist) on Falgun 1, 2052 BS, lasted for ten years. Prachanda, the main leader of the People's War, is visiting Rukum East to mark the People's War Day for the first time. Rukum East is the youngest district formed after the establishment of federalism as an achievement of the People's War. He is a candidate for the House of Representatives from Rukum East.
