Minister Gautam: Double Benefits from State Treasury Against Good Governance

Kathmandu. Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sobita Gautam has stated that it is against the principles of good governance and frugality for a single person to receive double benefits (pension and salary) from the state treasury at the same time.

Responding to questions raised during the discussion on the 'Constitutional Bodies' Remuneration, Service Conditions and Facilities (First Amendment) Bill' in the House of Representatives meeting, Minister Gautam said that the government is committed to ending the practice of receiving double benefits from the state treasury.
