Silence Period Begins for House of Representatives Elections Tonight

Kathmandu. The silence period for the elections to the House of Representatives is set to begin from midnight tonight. Political parties and candidates will only be allowed to campaign until today.

The Election Commission stated that the silence period will commence from 12:00 AM on Monday. The Commission has announced that no election campaigning or related activities will be permitted during this period. According to the Commission, the silence period must be observed from 48 hours before the voting day until the polling stations close on the voting day.
