With the rise in foldable and flip smartphones, new companies are getting into this market. Tecno Mobile also has recently stepped into the foldable field after the launch of its first-ever foldable smartphone, the Tecno Phantom V Fold .

Tecno has overtaken Samsung to lead in the African smartphone market in 2021. Samsung sold the most foldable in the year 2022 followed by Huawei, OPPO, VIVO and others, but Tecno seems to have closely followed them.
