International Youth Day Celebrated in Nepal

Today, August 12, is International Youth Day, officially declared by the United Nations in 1999 based on the Lisbon Declaration and celebrated worldwide. This day has also been observed in Nepal since 2004.

The Government of Nepal, prioritizing youth affairs, has formulated and implemented policy and strategic frameworks such as the National Youth Policy 2066, the National Youth Council Act 2072, and Youth Vision 2015-2025. As this year's International Youth Day is celebrated with the theme 'Different Context, Common Aspirations,' youth-centric discussions and programs are being conducted across the country on social media, in educational institutions, and on various civil society platforms.
