Gen Z groups deny calling rumoured Oct 9 protest

Youth groups fear infiltration by vested interests seeking to exploit their anti-corruption movement.

It has been over a week since a series of posts began circulating on social media, claiming that another protest is set to take place on October 9. Many of these, mostly on TikTok, carry messages like “Gen Z, be ready, the next protest will be on October 9”. These posts have fuelled speculation and confusion over a potential new wave of Gen Z-led protests.
