Worker Recounts Near-Death Experience in Trishuli Hydropower Tunnel Flood

Dhangadhi. On Bhadra 10, Santosh Chaudhary, 25, from Bhajani Municipality-1, Kailali, was arranging rebar (iron rods) in the tunnel of the Trishuli 3-A Hydropower Project. He had been there for one month and ten days.

On the morning of Bhadra 10, while working inside the tunnel, there was a sudden strong gust of wind. A Chinese national working with him said, 'What happened, I'll go see' and went out in a vehicle. Santosh and his colleagues continued working inside the tunnel.
