Voting Underway for House of Representatives Election Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Today (Thursday), on Falgun 21, voting is taking place simultaneously across the country for the members of the House of Representatives. According to the Election Commission, voting will occur from 7 AM to 5 PM. The Commission has stated that all preparations for the election are complete and the government has arranged the necessary security to ensure a worry-free voting environment.

Through this election, a total of 275 members of the House of Representatives will be elected: 165 under the first-past-the-post system and 110 under the proportional representation system. A total of 18,903,689 voters will exercise their right to vote from 10,967 polling stations, 23,112 polling centers, and 143 temporary polling centers across the country.
