Journalist Federation Protests Police Arrest of Senior Journalist Kishore Shrestha

Kathmandu. The Nepal Journalists Federation has staged a sit-in at the Kathmandu Police Range, Badrkali, demanding the release of senior journalist Kishore Shrestha. The Federation has staged a sit-in in protest of the arrest of senior journalist Shrestha in connection with a news-related matter.

Shrestha, the chief editor of Janastha Weekly and former acting president of the Press Council Nepal, was arrested by a team from the Kathmandu Police Range from his residence in Lalitpur on Wednesday night at 9 PM.
