Japanese encephalitis kills five people in Jhapa in last four months

Bhadrapur (Jhapa), Aug 13: Five people have died from Japanese encephalitis (JE) infection in Jhapa in the last four months. So far, JE infection has been confirmed in nine people in the district, out of which five have died.

Among those who died, three are men and two women. Among the infected, three are from Mechinagar, one from Haldibari, one from Bahradashi, one from Kachankawal, two from Birtamod, and one from Arjundhara.
