Man Arrested in Kathmandu for Rs 1.28 Million Fraud Related to Canada Employment

Kathmandu. One person has been arrested in Kathmandu for defrauding 1.28 million rupees by luring people with the promise of sending them to Canada for foreign employment. The arrested is 32-year-old Sushant Singh, a permanent resident of Siraha Municipality-7, currently residing in Tikaathali, Lalitpur.
Singh, among the defendants who had obtained an arrest warrant from the Foreign Employment Tribunal Kathmandu in a case related to foreign employment based on the complaint of Muna Mansuri and had been absconding, was arrested by a police team dispatched from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku. Police took him into custody on Wednesday from Shankhamul, Ward No. 30 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Police Superintendent and Information Officer Rameshwor Karki informed that the arrested Singh has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and necessary action.
