Nepal Faces Challenges in Electric Vehicle Sector Amidst Growing Popularity

Kathmandu. The import and use of electric vehicles (EVs) have made significant strides in Nepal recently. On the roads, the number of EVs is increasing day by day.

Despite the increasing use and attraction of EVs, it has been found that the government does not have accurate and integrated data for them. The Department of Transport Management has stated that it does not have complete data on how many electric vehicles are registered and in operation across the country.
