Annapurna Rural Municipality Areas Ravaged by Heavy Rainfall

Pokhara. Some areas of Annapurna Rural Municipality in Kaski have been devastated by continuous rainfall since Thursday night. The area of Birethanti in Ward No. 8 has been particularly affected by floods. The road from Birethanti to Ghandruk has been washed away in several places by the Modi River, causing transportation to come to a halt, according to Kaski Police.

According to the Birethanti Police Post, heavy damage to physical structures has occurred due to the Modi River flood cutting away the road. About 100 meters of the road near Birethanti has been washed away by the Modi River. The road is completely closed, and even the pedestrian path remains, police said.
