Khagraj Bhatta Appointed Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province

Kathmandu. Khagraj Bhatta, active in leftist politics for four decades, has become the Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province. Bhatta, the leader of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Sudurpaschim Province Assembly Parliamentary Party, was appointed Chief Minister by Province Chief Nazir Mian on Friday morning.

Bhatta, who became Chief Minister with the support of UML, also took the oath of office and secrecy. Bhatta has succeeded in becoming Chief Minister after three years and eight months of being elected to the Provincial Assembly.
