By-elections: Period of silence from midnight

KATHMANDU, April 20: The Election Commission has informed that the silent period of the by-elections will start at 12:00 tonight. Surya Prasad Aryal, Assistant Spokesperson of the Election Commission informed that no campaigning will be allowed from 12:00 tonight.

Campaigning cannot be done from 48 hours before the election. By-elections are being held in Bara Region No. 2, Chitwan Region No. 2 and Tanahun Region No. 1 on the 23rd of April.
