Nepal Marks Tenth Election Day Commemorating First General Election

Thursday marks the tenth Election Day in Nepal, commemorating the significant day when adult Nepalis first exercised their right to vote in a general election.

The first general election in the country took place on Falgun 7, 2015 BS, eight years after the establishment of democracy. The Election Commission, functioning as a constitutional body, has been conducting elections for local levels up to the President's office in a clean, independent, and impartial manner.
