‘Kagtali’ explores coincidence and concealment

A tale of secrecy and class in 1950s Nepal on the Kausi Theatre stage from July 23.

Set in the 1950s, ‘Kagtali’ derives its name from a folk proverb that tells of a bell falling on a crow’s head, causing its death—a metaphor for fatal coincidence. Written and directed by Nabin Chandra Aryal, with co-direction by Savin Bhattarai and Bishnu Rai, the play unravels a chilling incident in a high-class family and the layers of secrecy that follow.
