More than 17 mln Afghans receive electronic ID cards

More than 17 million Afghan nationals have received electronic national identity cards since the program launched in May 2018, said a statement of the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) on Monday.

"Since the beginning of the electronic ID card distribution process, a total of 17,068,000 Afghans have received their electronic national ID cards," the statement added.
