Former MP Rai arrested for sending Nepalis to US as Bhutanese refugees

Kathmandu, 2 May (2023) - Police have arrested former parliamentarian Indrajit Rai for his involvement in sending Nepalis to the United States in the guise of Bhutanese refugee.

Rai was nabbed from Saukhel in Lalitpur today morning, according to Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Minbhawan, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Manoj Kumar KC.
