Jordan Condemns US Ambassador's Remarks Claiming Israeli Control Over Middle East

Kathmandu. Jordan's Foreign Ministry on Saturday condemned remarks made by US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Hankabee, claiming the right to assert control over the entire Middle East. The ministry described the ambassador's claim as careless and inflammatory.

Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Fouad Mjali said in a statement, "Hankabee's comments violate diplomatic norms, violate the sovereignty of regional states, and violate international law and the United Nations Charter, and they contradict Washington's stated previous stance."
