Authorities Remove Nearly 20,000 Campaign Materials Violating Code of Conduct in Dhanusha Ahead of Elections

Dhanusha. As the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 approaches and election campaigning intensifies, the administration has removed approximately 20,000 promotional materials posted in violation of the code of conduct. The Dhanusha District Administration Office removed flyers, pamphlets, banners, and posters haphazardly pasted by various candidates within the Janakpurdham municipal area.

According to the administration, materials posted in public places, on electricity poles, government buildings, and along roadsides in violation of the code of conduct have been removed. To enforce the election code of conduct effectively, the administration had given candidates and political parties one day's notice on Thursday to voluntarily remove non-compliant promotional materials. However, since the materials were not removed within the stipulated time, the administration deployed its own teams to take them down.
