Nick Kyrgios Suspended After Testing Positive for Cocaine

Kathmandu. Australia's famous tennis player Nick Kyrgios has been temporarily suspended after testing positive for cocaine. The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) announced the temporary suspension of the 31-year-old Kyrgios on Wednesday.

Kyrgios' doping test was conducted in June during the ATP 250 tournament in Mallorca, Spain. The test found the cocaine metabolite 'benzoylecgonine'. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) laboratory confirmed the presence of the banned substance on July 17, after which he was temporarily suspended from August 4, the ITIA said.
