Congress leads in Makwanpur 1 and UML in 2

Hetauda, 22 November (2022) - Mahalakshmi Upadhyaya (Dina) of the Nepali Congress has maintained her lead in the vote count following the election held for the post of member of the House of Representatives in Makwanpur Constituency No. 1.

Out of the 5,030 votes that were counted so far, Upadhyaya, the common candidate of the ruling coalition, has received 2,477 votes. She is followed by Kamal Thapa, candidate of CPN (UML) and president of RPP Nepal with 1,643 votes. RPP's candidate Deepak Singh has received 373 votes.
