Peru Hit by 6.7 Magnitude Earthquake

Kathmandu. A powerful earthquake of magnitude 6.7 struck the central region of the South American country Peru on Thursday. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), no immediate human casualties or damage to physical structures have been reported due to the earthquake.

According to USGS, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 99 kilometers. Its epicenter was about 31 kilometers northwest of Aniso, located in the Andes mountain region.
