Five Nations Condemn Israel's West Bank Settlement Plan

London. Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Canada have strongly opposed the plan as Israel prepares to tender for the construction of approximately 1,200 new settlement homes in a strategically important area of the occupied West Bank.

In a joint statement issued on Thursday, the five countries called Israel's decision "unacceptable" and urged the immediate withdrawal of the plan.
