Kavrepalanchok Police Register 74 Criminal Incidents in Shrawan, Arrest 76

Kavrepalanchok. 74 criminal incidents were registered in Kavrepalanchok last Shrawan. 659 vehicles were penalized during this period and 76 defendants involved in various incidents were arrested, the District Police Office informed. According to the progress report published by the office, out of the 74 small and large criminal incidents registered in one month, 41 cases have been settled, while the remaining incidents are under investigation. During this period, the police arrested 76 defendants in ongoing cases involved in various crimes, informed the office's Information Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bisht. According to him, the graph of economic-financial crimes has been increasing in Kavrepalanchok for some months. Among the cases registered in the office, most (18 cases) are related to banking transactions. Besides this, 12 cases of simple theft, motorcycle, and livestock theft were registered. Similarly, serious cases of vehicle accident, attempted murder, bigamy, witchcraft accusation, and rape and attempted rape were registered. 20 absconding defendants who were absconding in vehicle accident cases on various dates were arrested. In the past Shrawan, the police implemented a prison sentence of one year, four months, and 15 days, and collected a fine of Rs 2,969,900. Similarly, to ensure road safety and stop illegal activities, the police penalized 659 vehicles and collected revenue of Rs 601,500. Revenue of Rs 317,000 was deposited from tippers involved in illegal excavation of riverine materials. The police destroyed 107 stills operating in various places in the district and confiscated 1,398 liters of illegal homemade liquor and 3,035 liters of raw materials. To reduce criminal incidents, 98 public awareness programs were conducted under the community-police partnership program operated by Kavrepalanchok Police against cybercrime, sexual abuse, human trafficking, and drugs. 19,913 citizens were made aware through this program, according to Bisht. According to him, patrolling, surprise checking, and the use of technology have been further intensified for the security of citizens' lives and property.
