Kirat Yakthung Chumlung Japan Concludes 7th General Convention, Elects New Executive Committee

Tokyo. The 7th General Convention of the Kirat Yakthung Chumlung Japan has concluded. Under the main theme of 'Limbuwan Autonomy, Our Commitment,' the closed session of the convention elected a new 25-member executive committee under the chairmanship of Bal Bikram Tigela.

The convention elected the Chairman and Senior Vice Chairman through an election process, while other office bearers were elected unopposed. Tigela was elected Chairman by securing 85 votes, while Mina Tumbahamfe (Rekha) received only 5 votes. Similarly, Lakhdhwaj Mademba (Sisam) won the position of Senior Vice Chairman with 81 votes, while Keshika Limbu received 9 votes. Bishnu Kumar Angdembe was unanimously elected as the Vice Chairman for open positions, and Kalpana Chemjong was elected as the Vice Chairperson for women's positions.
