The Lions defeated star-studded Biratnagar Kings by 40 runs in Qualifier 2 on Thursday to book a place in the final. They will face Sudurpaschim Royals for the title on Saturday.
The way they started the season, Biratnagar Kings were termed as one of the favourites for the second season of the Nepal Premier League. They also entered the playoffs as one of the Top 2 teams to further cement the expectation. However, filled with some big names of the season, the Kings could not deliver when it mattered the most.
