Prachanda vows to fight for rights of Gurkhas and Nepalese migrants

KATHMANDU, Sep 5: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that he would fight lifelong for the welfare and equal rights of Gurkha Army Ex-Servicemen and for the defence of Nepalis scattered across the world.

Addressing an interaction organized by Gurkha Army Ex-Servicemen's Organization (GAESO) about the problems faced by retired Gurkha Army personnel in Kathmandu on Tuesday, the Prime Minister said that he would take initiatives to resolve the discriminatory practices on pensions, salary and other facilities against Gurkhas recruited in the British Army, adding that this is was the responsibility of Nepal and Nepal government.
