Formation of youth council in all local levels stressed

Bhaktapur, Oct 17: Secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dr Hari Prasad Lamsal, has pointed out the need of launching a campaign to form youth council in all 753 local levels. He shared so at a programme organised by National Youth Council, Sanothimi, at partnership of UNFPA here today. Saying difficulties have been encountered in implementation of the government's previous decision of forming youth council or any network in the name of youths in all local levels across the country, he stressed that youths themselves should now be active to form youth council or any youth network.

He emphasized the need of taking the youth leadership forward in mainstream of the country's development including education and health. Similarly, Administrative Chief of National Youth Council Geha Nath Bhandari shared that today's discussion was significant to take youths in country's mainstream from policy-making level to leadership.
