Mades Province Government Decides Relief for Flood Victims

Janakpurdham. The Council of Ministers of Madhes Province Government has decided to distribute tents and blankets worth Rs 1 crore 96 lakh as per the need for those affected by the floods in Bhote Koshi and Trishuli in Rasuwa. Similarly, immediate relief of Rs 1 lakh will be provided to the relatives of those who died in the incident from the citizens of Madhes Province.

The Council of Ministers meeting held on Monday at the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers' office under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav made this decision. The meeting decided to provide relief of Rs 1 lakh per deceased to the families or closest relatives of the citizens of Madhes Province who died due to the flood and disaster caused by the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers, and to arrange free treatment in provincial hospitals for those injured, said Finance Minister Yuvaraj Bhattarai. According to him, so far 4 people from Madhes have died and 160 are missing.
