Khanidanda and Thamkharka airports to operate regular flights from Saturday

Kathmandu - Two of the three airports of Khotang district that have remained closed for over six months due to lockdown are set to operate regular flights from coming Saturday. With the ease of lockdown enforced by the government to contain the coronavirus transmission, the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC)’s aircrafts are operating regular flight services to and from Khanidanda and Thamkharka airports.
The NAC has made public a work schedule to provide flight service from Khanidanda airport twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday and once a week from Thamkharka airport on Wednesday. Khanidanda airport is the closest one from the main commercial hub of the district Diktel Bazaar while Thamkharka airport is situated in the southern belt of the district.
