Urge to not handover community schools to private

Kathmandu - The Federation of Community School Management Committees has demanded that the responsibility of improving the quality of community schools not be given to the private institutions.

The provision to give the private schools the responsibility of improving the community schools is against the norms and values of the Constitution. Issuing a statement, the Federation has demanded that the provision in point no. 166 of the budget estimates for Fiscal Year 2020/21 be removed, and budget allocated to ensure free and compulsory education to all.
