Taskforce Coordinator Om Chhetri: Farmers Should Not Bear Sole Burden of Wildlife Conservation

Kathmandu. Om Chhetri, coordinator of the 'Human-Wildlife Conflict Management Technical Taskforce' under the National Trust for Nature Conservation, has stated that the situation where farmers alone have to bear the entire cost and burden of wildlife conservation in the name of coexistence must end.

Speaking at a meeting of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee under the House of Representatives on Monday, Chhetri emphasized the need to define coexistence between wildlife and humans in a scientific and practical manner.
