Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Ashika Tamang Demands Harshest Penalties for Rapists

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Ashika Tamang has demanded that the government make arrangements for the strictest possible punishment for rapists. Speaking in the zero hour of the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, she said that the current legal system is not enough to bring criminals to justice and create fear in society.

"What is the provision in the law for giving separate punishment to rapists? I see no greater achievement than the rapist going to the same jail, eating meat and rice, and coming out with a skinny body like a mosquito, only to become like a buffalo," said MP Tamang.
