Raped adolescent girl commits suicide after justice denied

Kathmandu - An adolescent raped girl has committed suicide in Saptari after she did not get justice. The 17-year-old adolescent of Dakneswori municipality-7, Lalitpur committed suicide on Tuesday after the villagers warned and stopped her registering complaint against the rapists at the police office, said the Saptari Police.

Rape survivor’s mother shared that the girl who went to see irrigation outreach at paddy field on Monday morning was gang raped. She further noted that her daughter was caught in big stress following some villagers preventing the survivors from approaching the police office against four rapists.
