Muslims Celebrate 1501st Birth Anniversary of Prophet Muhammad

Kathmandu. The 1501st birth anniversary of Hazrat Muhammad Salallaho (Rasul), the last prophet of Islam, is being celebrated today by organizing various programs.

Muhammad is considered the messenger of the Muslim community. Prophet Muhammad was born in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Later he went to Medina, Saudi Arabia. The Islamic calendar (Hijri Samvat) started 53 years after his birth. Currently, Hijri Samvat 1448 is running.
