National Independent Party Draws Government's Attention to Bhote Koshi and Trishuli River Flood Risks

Kathmandu. The National Independent Party has drawn the government's attention to the risks posed by the severe floods in the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers. General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya, issuing a statement on Wednesday, drew the government's attention to the warning that the floods have caused damage in the coastal areas of Rasuwa and Nuwakot and that their effects could extend to Chitwan via Muglin. He made a special appeal to the government, local administration, and the general public to minimize potential human and physical damage.

He emphasized the need to immediately implement the technical advice of the Flood Forecasting Branch and demanded that all disaster management mechanisms be mobilized with high alert. He stated that the state should prioritize the immediate relocation of citizens from vulnerable coastal settlements to safe places.
