Langtang Hydropower Project Suffers Major Damage Due to Flood, Workers Trapped

Kathmandu. The 20 MW Langtang Hydropower Project has suffered major damage due to a flood in Rasuwa. 35 workers are trapped inside the project's tunnel due to the flood, while 25 other employees, including engineers, are missing.

According to the company's Managing Director and Secretary of the Independent Power Producers' Association Nepal (IPPAN), Vijaymohan Bhattari, about 60 employees and workers working at the project are currently out of contact.
